Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Description

This is a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED) position at a state-of-the-art facility that manages more than 100,000 visits a year. As one of the busiest trauma centers in the country and the only Level I trauma hospital in the area, you will be responsible for treating a diverse patient population and assisting with boarder patients. Please note that the ED does not support first-time travelers.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
• Assess, plan, and implement patient care for diverse populations.
• Monitor patient telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Assist with boarder patients effectively.

Schedule

This position operates on a rotating shift schedule, including day, evening, night rotations, weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback duties. Full-time options are available for 36 or 48 hours per week.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License in New York (NY License ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years Emergency Department experience.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Previous travel Emergency Department experience is mandatory.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY), NIHSS.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
