Charge RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

This position requires a 12-hour night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 36-hour guarantee.

Job Description

We are seeking a Charge RN for an Adaptive Acuity Unit, where occasional Progressive Care Unit (PCU) care is required. This role involves providing patient care at a 3:1 ratio, with a strong emphasis on drip experience, including insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips. Charge experience is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in an Adaptive Acuity Unit.
• Manage patients within a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Deliver specialized drip management for insulin, esmolol, and sodium.
• Float to any inpatient unit within the scope of practice as required.
• Maintain effective communication with the healthcare team and patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2+ years of current Med Surg/Telemetry experience.
• Charge nurse experience is required.
• Progressive Care Unit/PCU experience is strongly preferred.
• Drip experience is a requirement.
• ICU experience is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 months previous travel nursing experience.
• Active Vermont RN license or Compact license must be provided.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
