Physical Therapist - Outpatient - 5x8 Schedule

Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensures the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities. The Physical Therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues while performing additional professional duties related to patient care and development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develops appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
• Documents medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Provides direction and supervision to students in the therapy program, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Maintains professional licensure and adheres to ethical standards outlined by the discipline-specific professional code of conduct.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives, providing feedback to maximize service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.

Schedule

This position requires a 5x8 schedule, with shifts to be determined based on patient care needs.
