Schedule

12-hour shifts, 7 AM - 7:30 PM, with holiday call rotation as needed. Candidates will float to outpatient surgery as required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist with expertise in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting surgical procedures, with a focus on neurosurgery and orthopedic cases. You will be expected to assist in a busy operating room environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures under the direction of the surgeon.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field in the operating room.
• Assist with the draping of the surgical site and passing instruments.
• Ensure all equipment is in working order prior to and during surgery.
• Support the surgical team and communicate effectively in the OR.
• Participate in room turnover and preparation for subsequent surgeries.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in surgical technology, with a preference for orthopedics and neurosurgery.
• 2-3 previous travel assignments are preferred.
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) and Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification are mandatory.
• Must be comfortable assisting in orthopedic cases and proficient with surgical techniques.
