Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical ICU specializing in neuro overflow. The ideal candidate will be required to float to SICU and will have a strong background in critical care nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical patient care in the Medical ICU and overflow neuro units.
- Start IVs and manage multiple titrating drips.
- Deliver critical vent care to patients, ensuring high-quality treatment.
- Participate in the management of patients with multi-system disease, CRRT, IAPB, and ECMO.
- Maintain documentation using EPIC EMR system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- NIHSS certification is required before starting.
- CCRN certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar unit is required.
- Experience in a large teaching facility is mandatory.
- EPIC experience from within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
Schedule
This position involves a 12-hour rotating shift with potential weekend requirements. Candidates must be open to working weekends as needed.
