This position requires night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with block scheduling that is not guaranteed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) will work in the MS Stroke Stepdown unit and is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals recovering from strokes and other related diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for stroke patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care delivery.
- Appropriately document patient care and progress in EMR systems.
- Participate in floating to other units as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active RN license in New York State and all active RN licenses.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS with stroke stepdown experience.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification required (can be obtained prior to start).
- Documentation of travel experience.
- Drivers licenses matching the address and demographics.
