Schedule
This is a 13-week contract position, requiring 12-hour shifts for three days a week, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Call rotation during holidays may be necessary.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-level patient care within the Operating Room, working with a diverse surgical team to deliver services across multiple specialties. The position demands expertise in robotic surgery and orthopedic cases, and familiarity with EPIC charting systems.
Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub during surgery, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Work collaboratively with OR techs and other surgical staff.
- Prepare and manage surgical instruments and equipment.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care as necessary.
- Participate in holiday and on-call rotations according to unit requirements.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 2-3 years of experience in the Operating Room specialty.
- 2-3 previous travel assignments preferred.
- Must have experience passing instruments for robotic surgery.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS; PALS is preferred.
- Valid RN license required; must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
