This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Shifts are 3 days a week, 12 hours each from either 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with on-call responsibilities.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Critical Care PACU will provide care for patients in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong background in trauma care, with responsibilities including pre-operative and post-operative management of patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the PACU setting
- Monitor patients' recovery from anesthesia
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Prepare patients for discharge and provide education on post-operative care
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical interventions as needed
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- At least 2 years of critical care or PACU experience required
- Trauma Certified with TNCC, PALS, ACLS certifications
- Experience in Level I Trauma and ICU settings preferred
- Valid state nursing license required at the time of submission
- Previous charge experience preferred
