Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. The role involves delegation and direction of discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, designing functional treatment programs that facilitate effective return to community activities. This position also includes educating patients, families, students, coworkers, and oneself, along with performing additional professional duties associated with patient care and the development of discipline-specific therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Conduct medical record documentation clearly, concisely, and accurately, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Participate in student programs, providing supervision and a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand performance improvement methodologies and actively contribute to quality service improvement.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active state licensure for physical therapy.
