This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Schedule consists of four 9-hour shifts with the ability to flex to three 12-hour shifts; weekdays only, no weekends or major holidays.
Job Description
Join our dedicated team at the Outpatient Oncology Center, providing compassionate care to patients with various types of cancer and other hematologic conditions. Our center is designed to deliver top-notch outpatient services with a focus on patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy under the direction of the physician.
- Monitor and manage patient responses to treatment, including side effects and symptom management.
- Educate patients and families about chemotherapy protocols, medication side effects, and supportive care.
- Document all patient care using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (EPIC).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement patient care plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active RN license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) required.
- ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy provider card preferred; experience with chemotherapy is highly regarded.
