Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Schedule

D/E/N rotating shift schedule, including weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge per unit needs.

Job Description

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is the only one of its kind in the Finger Lakes Region. It serves as a highly specialized, nationally recognized center that provides the highest level of care available for sick or premature newborns (Level IV center), including advanced treatment for respiratory failure and heart disease.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to sick or premature newborns in the NICU.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate and communicate with families regarding their newborn's condition and care plan.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License (New York License ONLY)
• Two (2) years of nursing experience
• Telemetry experience
• NRP 8th edition Certification required
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Epic experience is highly desired
