Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs and physician direction. Responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, the therapist ensures the design of functional treatment programs that allow for an effective return to community activities. They serve as educators for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Document medical records accurately and in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval as required.
• Participate in student programs and provide a positive learning environment.
• Maintain professional licensure and complete continuing education requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid Physical Therapist State license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for a day shift, approximately 8 hours, 2 days a week.
