Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our collaborative rehabilitation team in Salinas, California. You'll enjoy an incredible combination of professional growth and an exceptional quality of life, with easy access to California's Central Coast attractions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADL performance, functional mobility, upper extremity function, cognition, safety awareness, and overall independence.
  • Accurately document treatments using electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress and discharge planning.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on adaptive equipment, home safety, and functional strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with Medicare, state, and facility documentation standards.
  • Participate in care conferences and team meetings as appropriate.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current California COTA license (or eligibility).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred; motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Positive attitude with a passion for patient-centered care.
