Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry Unit (Rotating Shifts)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating shifts: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) and Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients. The position involves handling various patient needs, from managing complex conditions to supporting post-operative recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
• Manage wound care, IV lines, and infusion therapy.
• Educate patients and their families on health management strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license required.
• Current AHA certifications.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring is an advantage.
