Night shift - 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend coverage is required every other weekend based on need.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse with ECMO Specialist experience to float between the Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The role involves comprehensive patient care for individuals needing ECMO support post cardiac surgery, traumatic injury, or other critical conditions requiring intensive management.
Responsibilities
- Manage ECMO devices during bedside cannulation and repositioning procedures.
- Care for patients across both pediatric and adult ICUs, implementing ECMO protocols and adhering to provider direction.
- Work collaboratively with ICU RNs and respiratory therapists on critical care management.
- Provide support for patients with diagnoses including post cardiac surgery, cardiogenic shock, ARDS, respiratory failure, and traumatic injuries.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of intensive care experience in both pediatric and adult settings.
- Current RN license in South Carolina.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
- At least one year of experience with EPIC EMR.
- Completion of ECMO specialty device course and required CMEs to maintain proficiency.
