Emergency Department Registered Nurse - 12-Hour Night Shifts

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights with start times of 7 PM, 10 PM, or 11 PM. Shift Schedule: 3 shifts per week.

Job Description

The Emergency Department (ED) serves patients of all ages and is recognized as a New York State Designated Stroke Center. Nurses will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency care and managing a diverse range of diagnoses in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients across all age groups.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient management.
• Utilize telemetry skills to monitor patients effectively.
• Engage in patient education regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York State Nursing License in good standing.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Telemetry experience preferred, with the ability to read strips.
• Experience managing drips and ventilators is necessary.
