Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible to the Unit Director/Manager for the overall nursing practice of the unit during the assigned shift. In the absence of the Unit Director/Manager, the RN reports to the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or the Clinical Coordinator of the shift. The RN will provide professional nursing care based on current nursing knowledge through the nursing process, which includes assessment of the patient's needs, development of the plan of care to meet those needs, implementation of nursing measures, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the nursing care and other treatment measures.
Schedule
This position involves 12-hour shifts from 1845 to 0715, with a requirement to work every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Implement nursing interventions based on established nursing processes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care and treatment measures.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare staff.
- Communicate regularly with team members to promote harmonious teamwork.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of previous RN experience required.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) as per American Heart Association standards, with renewal every two years.
