Computed Tomography Technologist - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to independently perform imaging procedures while utilizing advanced imaging techniques. This role requires strong judgment and initiative to ensure accurate diagnostic results.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform computed tomography procedures following established scan protocols, including the administration of contrast media.
• Adjust imaging protocols as necessary while applying prescribed ionizing radiation accurately.
• Utilize complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data.
• Demonstrate proper technique in venipuncture and utilize power injectors as per departmental and manufacturer protocols.
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and assess patients for potential risk factors.
• Provide clear communication and instructions to patients, helping to alleviate their fears and solicit cooperation.
• Properly identify all patients using two patient identifiers and follow universal protocol for procedures.
• Document patient history in electronic records and ensure all exams are properly coded and tracked for archiving.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months from the date the primary registry was obtained or date of hire if already obtained.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in computed tomography or a related field.
• ARRT Certificate and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must meet state-specific regulations, including PA Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73.

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 7 PM to 7 AM, working 3 days a week (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
