This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Shifts will be Monday to Friday from 0630 to 1700, with a 10-hour schedule and on-call duties during the week and weekends.
Job Description
The RN - GI Lab will provide care and support to patients undergoing various gastrointestinal procedures. This role involves assisting with a range of interventional procedures such as colonoscopies, EGDs, bronchoscopy, feeding tube placements, ERCPs, EBUS, management of GI bleeds, flex sigs, foreign body retrieval, navigation bronch, variceal banding, Bravo manometry, and capsule endoscopy.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing various GI and pulmonary interventional procedures.
- Monitor patient conditions pre- and post-procedure.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a GI Lab or similar specialty.
- Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
- Must be willing to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
