RN Operating Room Circulator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced RN Operating Room Circulator to join our team. This role requires expertise in the surgical environment, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and support during procedures. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality care and will thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary nurse in the operating room, managing the surgical environment.
• Coordinate and facilitate effective communication among the surgical team.
• Monitor patient safety and ensure adherence to protocols and standards.
• Prepare surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring everything is available and sterile before procedures.
• Assist with the education and training of new staff and nursing students as needed.

Schedule

This position requires availability for an 08:00 AM to 05:00 AM shift, with on-call duties as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• A minimum of two years of previous perioperative experience is required.
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Experience in PACU or Recovery is not applicable for this role.
