Registered Nurse - Float Unit

Location

Largo, FL

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 05:30 - 18:00. Scheduled to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Float Unit will provide comprehensive nursing care in a psychiatric and rehabilitation setting. The role encompasses a variety of patient care activities and responsibilities, including assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care strategies.

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care to patients in the psychiatric/rehab department.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to establish optimal care plans.
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
Administer medications and ensure compliance with protocols.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
Document all patient care activities and maintain thorough records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current RN license in the state of Florida.
Experience in psychiatric or rehabilitation nursing preferred.
