Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Schedule

3 shifts of 12 hours each per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees, all while promoting a safe environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individual care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals collaboratively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs and facilitate direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status effectively to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and provide training to ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing problem-solving techniques.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning through effective communication and team-building efforts.
• Maintain awareness of and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Engage in professional growth and continuing education opportunities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
