Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:00 - 18:00), with two 30-minute breaks. Every other weekend requirement.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. The nurse will improve patient outcomes by utilizing advanced skills in moderate sedation, patient monitoring, and intervention protocols.
Responsibilities
- Administer moderate sedation and monitor patients throughout procedures.
- Circulate in Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Perform central line insertion and management, PICC care, and IV therapy.
- Support special procedures including lung biopsies, thoracentesis, and chemoembolization.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at the time of submission.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in an interventional radiology or procedural setting.
- Proficient in EPIC charting system required.
