Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts, every 3rd weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while promoting patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to the diagnosis of each patient.
• Provide patient information for Initial Team and Re-evaluation Conferences.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, focusing on education for patients and families.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status effectively to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise ancillary nursing personnel and provide training and direction as needed.
• Contribute positively to the functioning of the unit and participate in team-building activities.
• Identify and initiate own professional growth through continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
