Assignment Duration
This is a 26-week contract position that requires acceptance upon offer.
Schedule
Nights - 3x12 Hour Shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation.
Job Description
The role involves providing high-quality care to a predominantly medical-surgical patient population, with a requirement for EKG competency. Charge nurse responsibilities will also be required as needed, along with floating to other Cone Health facilities when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Administer blood products and manage peripheral line care.
- Start and maintain intravenous (IV) lines, and manage heparin and insulin protocols.
- Utilize Rapid Response teams and manage isolation precautions.
- Perform EKG tests and interpret dysrhythmias as part of patient assessments.
- Maintain care for patients requiring PCA, BiPAP/CPAP management, and nasal cannula.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active RN license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with prior charge experience.
- BLS certification required.
- Epic charting system experience preferred.
- Traveler must pass EKG exam during onboarding.
