Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care for patients, primarily focused on post-surgical recovery, including total joint replacements and general surgeries. The RN will work in a unit with a dedicated team, supporting patients of all ages requiring telemetry monitoring and specialized care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients undergoing surgeries such as hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, as well as general surgical cases.
• Utilize wall suction for patients requiring suction therapy.
• Maintain compliance with patient care standards, including telemetry monitoring.
• Work as part of a modified team to ensure all patients receive comprehensive care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical/surgical setting.
• Current New York RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
