This is a 13-week contract position, requiring a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotation every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including previous travel experience. The successful candidate will work in a 29-bed unit that provides care to adult and geriatric orthopedic and medical surgical patients. The unit also offers telemetry monitoring and has a physical therapy gym on-site for adequate patient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients ranging from adulthood to geriatrics.
• Administer medications and treatments as per established guidelines.
• Monitor patient conditions via telemetry and respond appropriately to any changes.
• Manage patient care plans, including those for orthopedic patients (e.g., total joint replacements, fracture repairs).
• Assist with physical therapy procedures as needed within the unit.
• Perform charge RN duties when required, including overseeing nursing staff and patient flow.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with charge RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Must be willing to float as necessary to other units.
