Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at a Freestanding Emergency Department in Edinburg, TX. The RN will be crucial in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care and medications as prescribed.
• Provide triage and prioritize patient needs effectively.
• Conduct and assist in various emergency procedures including, but not limited to, splinting, moderate sedation, and chest tube insertion.
• Coordinate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient information accurately in the ED EMR - Meditech system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications are required.
• Proficiency in Meditech and strong triage skills are mandatory.

Desired Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience in Level 1 and 2 trauma center settings.
• Ability to assist in obstetric deliveries in the emergency room.
• Familiarity with rapid sequence intubation techniques.
• Proficiency in setting up for mechanical ventilation.
