Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

4x10hr shifts with weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

Job Description

Join a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment providing specialized patient care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures such as biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiographies, and drain placements. This position involves preparing patients, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery, including PACU and extended stay (23-hour). The IR RN is a vital member of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients and requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures and provide post-procedure care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
• Participate in emergency responses and unit needs as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA.
• Telemetry experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent interventional radiology experience.
