This position requires working Night shifts of 3x12 hours.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, offering intensive respiratory care and patient transport to and from the facility as medically prescribed. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and explaining the purpose and procedures of treatments and tests. The therapist will conduct physician-prescribed treatments, operate various ventilatory equipment, and administer medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation to patients. Additional duties involve performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, monitoring through oximetry and capnography, and assisting with respiratory care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans.
• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments utilizing various respiratory devices.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and secretion clearance techniques.
• Monitor patient conditions using oximetry and capnography.
• Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement.
• Provide tracheostomy care and manage endotracheal tubes.
• Document treatment details and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Maintain and operate ventilatory and other respiratory equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Valid respiratory therapy license and relevant certifications are required. Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
