Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, evenings, and nights. Flexibility for weekends, holidays, and on-call duty is required.

Job Description

Join a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED) that manages over 100,000 visits a year, making it one of the busiest trauma centers in the country. As a Registered Nurse in this state-of-the-art facility, you will be responsible for treating a diverse patient population and assisting with boarder patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and telemetry data.
• Assist with the management of boarder patients.
• Participate in the decision-making process related to patient care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Emergency Department.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Previous travel ER experience is necessary.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (both from American Heart Association), NIHSS.
