12-Hour Nights - 7 PM to 7 AM | Weekends and Holidays as needed

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will be responsible for providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population. You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing acute medical situations and delivering patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement care for patients presenting in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment using EPIC charting.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Participate in unit activities and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical experience and 2 years of Emergency Room experience required.
• Experience in Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) is a must.
• Valid New York State Registered Nurse license.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
