Job Description
The Occupational Therapist will work in the Ground West Rehab Center within the Main Hospital, providing rehabilitative services to patients with neurological, multi-trauma, and complex medical diagnoses. Therapists will engage in patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions, contributing to the patient’s recovery and continuity of care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and chart reviews for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on patient needs.
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques including neuro re-education, gait and balance training.
- Train patients on the use of mobility devices and lifts.
- Provide family training and home safety evaluations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
- Current Utah state license to practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be up to date.
- Experience in acute rehab or acute care preferred.
- Strong understanding of neuro, multi-trauma, and medically complex cases.
