Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a focus on providing high-quality respiratory care to patients. The position involves working in various Cleveland Clinic facilities as needed, with a primary emphasis on team collaboration within the NICU expansion coverage for the NMET team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care according to established protocols and standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Perform assessments and develop treatment plans for patients requiring respiratory therapy.
• Administer various respiratory therapies and interventions effectively.
• Coordinate care with nursing and other healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record system.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding respiratory care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Current NBRC certification.
• Valid BLS certification (in hand at time of submission).
• Active Ohio RRT license (in hand at time of submission).
• Experience in a critical care setting preferred.
• Must be nicotine-free and pass a negative drug screen.

Schedule

• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekends as needed; may float to other facilities.
