This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM). Required to work 3 weekend shifts per 6 weeks (Saturday or Sunday).
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an acute care inpatient setting at a trauma level II facility with stroke certification. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in acute care and trauma experience, working independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities will include evaluations, treatment plans, and therapy interventions for patients dealing with various acute conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations based on acute care needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize therapy interventions effectively for patient recovery.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years' acute care experience.
- Physical Therapist license in California (may submit with license pending).
- BLS certification required.
- Trauma level II experience is highly preferred.
