Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical nursing care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role involves preparation and coordination of surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by performing circulating nurse duties.
• Manage patient care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as per facility guidelines.
• Coordinate with surgical teams and provide support in pediatric, orthopedic, GYN, vascular, urology, and neurology surgery specialties.
• Respond to emergencies and provide effective care in urgent situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid RN license in Florida or a compact state.
• BCLS certification is required.
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
• Strong surgical skills in areas such as abdominal surgeries, orthopedic procedures, and robotic surgery.
