Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a crucial member of the care delivery team, setting the standards for quality patient care. The role involves managing and providing nursing care activities for a group of patients and their families, using independent judgment and collaboration with team members. Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care, formulating daily goals and care plans that consider individual patient needs.
• Demonstrate critical thinking to identify clinical, social, safety, and psychological issues affecting patient care.
• Practice effective communication to articulate patient conditions to care providers and make recommendations for care adjustments.
• Actively participate in department-specific quality improvement efforts and take personal responsibility for enhancing patient satisfaction.
• Serve as an engaged partner on the care team, adapting to changes and demonstrating flexibility in practice.
• Provide comprehensive teaching to patients and families to facilitate care transitions and educate them effectively.
• Build and maintain productive working relationships by demonstrating accountability, motivation, and commitment to patients and colleagues.
• Report any safety hazards identified in the workplace to peers and management.

Required Experience

2 years of experience is required.

Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• PA Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73 clearances

Schedule / Shift

This is a rotating shift position requiring 12-hour shifts, working 3 days per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
