Schedule/Shift

12 Hour Night Shift: 18:45 - 07:15, with requirements to work 2-3 weekends in a 6-week period.

Job Description

The 4th Floor of Novant Health Matthews Medical Center is a 40-bed Medical-Surgical unit focused on Bariatrics and Orthopedics, providing comprehensive inpatient care. The unit prioritizes exemplary customer service and patient care within a collegial environment, fostering strong relationships with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient care in accordance with unit standards and protocols.
• Implement and manage telemetry monitoring for patients.
• Support interdisciplinary communication and collaboration through structured formats like SBAR.
• Assist in medication administration and patient education.
• Participate in rapid response situations when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with hand hygiene protocols.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Experience in telemetry is essential.
• First-time travelers are welcome.

Certifications/Licensure

• Required: BCLS, NIHSS, IV Start, and Telemetry certifications.
• Preferred: ACLS certification.
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start.
• NC or Compact license pending is acceptable for submission.
