Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
The position requires a 4x10 hour shift, working days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Weekend shifts are required, including one full weekend each month, and on-call shifts are expected 9-11 days per month. Must be available to work holidays.
Job Description
As a Cath Lab Tech, you will play a critical role in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients while ensuring the maintenance and operation of essential equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures.
- Monitor hemodynamics and prepare patients for procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure equipment functionality.
- Perform EKG lead placement and document procedures accurately.
- Implement isolation precautions and maintain a safe environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Float to Interventional Radiology as needed.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cath lab setting.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Travel experience is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- ACLS certification is required.
- ARRT Radiologic Technologist or CCI RCIS certification is required.
- Active Maryland or Compact License is required at the time of submission.
