Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing patient care in the Operating Room within a teaching facility. In this role, you will participate in training students and new staff, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and utilize Epic for charting. You will care for adult and geriatric patients, with a daily census of approximately 55.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Operating Room.
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients.
• Assist with the orientation and training of new staff and students.
• Utilize Epic for accurate patient charting and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room.
• Previous charge experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
