JOB DESCRIPTION
CT/Rad Tech Dual Modality
- About Facility:
- 1 Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27157
- 885 licensed beds
- Level 1 Trauma Designation
- Teaching Hospital: Yes, Academic Medical Center
- Chest Pain Center
- Stroke Center
- Department Information:
- Beds: 54
- Imaging – Radiology 4; CT – 4 (Peds and Adult)
- Census? Average patients/day? 200 patients per day
- Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of CT experience
- Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
- Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- Trauma/Strokes
- Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
- BLS
- ARRT Certification RT(R)(CT)
- Skills required:
- CT and X-ray
- Will set up machine for Fluoro – can be trained
- Support within the Department:
- Adult and PEDS
- Leadership – 5 Senior staff
- Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- Department specific Equipment: CT/Fixed X-ray/Mobile x-ray
- Siemens, Client, Cannon/RadPRO portables/mini-C-Arm
- Floating: If yes, where?
- CT department – ED only
- Orientation (facility and unit):
- Confirm with Cheryl
- Up to 5 days departmental – depends on experience
- Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: none, but subject to change
- On call? If so, what is that schedule? None
- Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
- RTO: Manager approval
- Shift times: 2:30p-1a Monday-Thursday or 6:30p-7a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
- Schedule cycle: 4 weeks
- Other notes:
- Scrub Color: Black
- Parking: Free
- Department Culture: High acuity, level 1 trauma setting, must be able to handle stressful situations in a calm manner. Need to do Adult and PEDS CT and x-rays.
