Radiation Therapist

Location: 3400 Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19128

• Contract: 13-week assignment (Temp or Temp-to-Perm option available)

• Extension: Possible based on performance and department needs

• Schedule: Monday–Friday

• Shift Length: 8-hour shifts

• Shift Window: As early as 6:00 AM to 5:00–6:00 PM

• Candidates must be available within these hours (Shift preference to be indicated at submission)

  Candidates must be flexible to report to any of the following locations:

• Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine (PCAM)

• Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH)

• Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC)

Unit Overview

This position supports Radiation Oncology services across multiple Penn Medicine locations, delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments in collaboration with a multidisciplinary oncology team. Candidates must be flexible to work at different campuses based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely

• Operate linear accelerators and related radiation equipment

• Perform patient positioning and immobilization

• Conduct CT simulations (CT/SIMS) as required

• Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols

• Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Physicists, and Nursing staff

• Document treatments accurately in EMR systems

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience

• Experience in Proton Therapy and/or CT Simulation (CT/SIMS) preferred

• Ability to work across multiple locations

• Strong patient care and communication skills

Certifications (Required)

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) – Radiation Therapy

• Active Radiation Therapy Certification

Training

• Candidates will be paired with an experienced Radiation Therapist

• Training will be provided on one specific treatment machine
