CT Tech @ AMC Mount Pleasant - CT

About Facility:
60 bed facility
Level IV Trauma Center
Stroke Ready Facility
Mount Pleasant, WI
Unit Information:
Census? Average patients/day? Approximately 20 scans a shift per tech
Beds: 2 CT Scanners, shared back-to-back with control room
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of acute care CT experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler? No, unless 10 years of CT experience
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Outpatient, ED, inpatients, Level II Trauma scans. Could see an infant (rare), but usually toddler and up, mostly adults.
Strokes, brain CTAs, CT perfusions, abdomen, extremities, spine, neck, head, pulmonary embolisms
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
ARRT (CT) and WI License, BLS
Skills required:
Experience with above patient types, strokes/brain CTAS, comfortable working independently
Canon and Toshiba experience HIGHLY preferred. Send for manager approval if candidate does not have this experience
IV starts, CT Perfusions, and experience with biopsies/special procedures preferred. Please include in offer email if candidate has experience with these items
Support within the Department:
2 CT Techs for Days, 1 CT tech after 1830
Imaging Patient Assistant- transports, turns room around, stocks. Leaves at 2100
Concierge at Imaging Desk for outpatient needs
Radiology Nurse until 1600
Phlebotomy in hospital
House Supervisor – will support IV after hours if needed
Lead CT Technologist on site during day shift
RT 24/7
MRI and X-ray 24/7
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC – preferred
PACS: McKesson
Med dispensing: Pyxis
Unit specific equipment: Canon Scanners 80 slice & 40 Slice
Floating: If yes, where?

Orientation (facility and unit):
NEO
3 days of unit orientation
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: None
On call? No
Holiday Expectations: If it falls on scheduled day, will work it
Shift times: 12:30-10pm Mon-Thurs
Schedule cycle: Set schedule
