o Level IV Trauma Center
o Primary Stroke Center
o Accredited Chest Pain Center
o Active FNE program with RN on-call 24/7 for these cases
o Bed: 74
● General Information
o Beds: 21 6 bed annex
o Experience: 2 years
o First-time traveler: Yes
● Patient Types:
o All ages
● Patient Ratios:
o RN – 1:4 (Days & Nights)
o Tech – 1:8 (Days & Nights)
● Required Certifications:
o BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC/TNS, CPI or MOAB
● Skills required:
o critical care level skill set
● Support on the Unit:
o Charge nurse – reduced patient assignment
o Hospitalist in house, 24/7
o ED MD in house, 24/7
o HUC, 24/7
o Phlebotomy to assist with peripheral blood draws
o Nursing Station Telemetry monitoring without tele tech
● Charting System/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o IV Pumps: Alaris
o Med Dispensing: Pyxis
o Client Monitors
● Floating:
o N/A
● Orientation:
o At least 1 shift to learn flow
● Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: 1 weekend per month
o Can we approve time off? Up to 7 days
o Call required: None
o Holiday Expectations: none
