Unit Information:
Census? Average patients/day? 14 patients per day
Beds/Rooms: 3
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of Nuc Med experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Adults only
Cardiac scans, stress rest tests, gastrics, HIDA scans, renal scans, bone scans, lung scans/perfusions (VQ scan), GI bleeds, parathyroids with Spec CT, administration of i131
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
BLS
ARRT or NMTCB
No state license required
Skills required:
Experience with above scans; send for manager if not experienced with something (except for hard stops below)
Hard stops: cardiac/stress rest tests, HIDA, GI bleeds, VQ scans, starting IVs
Must have experience with Siemens CKM and Siemens Symbia S. Siemens Prospecta experience is preferred
Must be comfortable working solo as could be the only Nuc Med Tech for the shift
Support within the Department:
Lead Tech
Management
House Transport
2-3 Nuc Med Techs during the week, 1 on weekends
RNs – 1 RN during the weekend to help with cardiac cases
Rapid Response/Code Team
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
PACS: Philips
Unit specific equipment: Siemens CKM (required), Siemens Symbia S (required), and Siemens Prospecta (preferred)
Floating: If yes, where?

Orientation (facility and unit):
NEO
4 shifts of orientation once in the department
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Refer to requisition, could be every weekend
Holiday Expectations: Call only; could be on call for some holidays
Approval of RTO: to go through manager
Shift times: Refer to requisition
Schedule cycle: Will have set schedule; refer to requisition for schedule
