Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Day Shift | 4x10s | 40 Hours/Week
- Call required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
- AHA BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- No local candidates within 50 miles
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The RN will assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations and related procedures while ensuring patient safety, monitoring, and high-quality care throughout all phases of treatment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and assess patients prior to cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Provide direct nursing care during cardiac cath lab procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and sedation levels
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and conscious sedation as ordered
- Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Recognize and respond promptly to emergency situations and changes in patient condition
- Provide post-procedure monitoring, recovery care, and patient education
