CT Technologist - Travel Contract (Evening Shift)
Location :Charlotte, NC 28210
Shift: 10hr Evening Shift (Mon, Wed-Fri 2p-12:30a, 40 hours/week)
On Call: Yes, 2-3 shifts/month
Weekend Rotation: No
Holidays: Travelers work 75%

About the Facility

  • 373 licensed beds (344 acute, 29 inpatient rehab): ED (30 beds), ICU (46 beds), PCU (40 beds), Observation (70 beds), OR Suites (14).

  • No trauma designation; TJC Stroke accredited.

  • Imaging services: X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine (with Radiology Nursing support).

  • Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles from facility.

Department Highlights

  • Average inpatient census: ~400.

  • Volume: 160 studies/weekday, 120 studies/weekend.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years; first-time travelers accepted.

Patient Types & Procedures

  • ED, inpatient, observation, outpatient.

  • CT-guided invasive procedures; cases with anesthesia as needed.

  • Cardiac CT imaging (day shift, 7 days/week).

Qualifications & Certifications

  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced CT registry.

  • BLS required.

Key Skills

  • Start peripheral IVs.

  • Venous/arterial phase scanning; multi-phase scanning.

  • Stroke imaging (including perfusion).

  • Colorectal studies.

  • TeraRecon knowledge preferred.

Department Support & Equipment

  • Support: Guest Services/Transport for inpatient & observation patients.

  • EMR: EPIC | RIS: Epic Radiant | PACS: Philips iSite.

  • CT Scanners: Siemens Definition AS 40, Siemens Force, Siemens Edge .

  • Injectors: Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors.

Orientation & Logistics

  • Admin onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policies): 1 day.

  • Departmental orientation: 2 days to 1 week (as needed, including weekdays).

  • Scrubs: Black | Parking: Free surface lots/decks.
