Start: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:30pm-7am; floating and call required

**2 years' experience required
**ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, & ENPC required
**NRP preferred

FINGERPRINTS FOR ALL NM TRAVELERS ARE REQUIRED!!
***Please only submit candidates if your agency is registered with the state of New Mexico as the fingerprint process can take several weeks***
Call Requirement: 2 hours prior to shift start, at a minimum
Emergency Department, Level 3 Trauma
Patient Ratio: 4:1
Blocked Scheduling is NOT approved
48 hr. guarantees are NOT approved
RTO blackout dates or required holidays: 1 Summer & 1 Winter; dependent on dept needs
Max RTO: 1 per Schedule; 6 Week Scheduling
Floating is required
Scrub Color: None - Full Uniform
EMR: MedHost (EDIS)
The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
Knowledge of nursing process & clinical nursing practices
Perform thorough assessments & communicate findings effectively
Proficient in administering medications & monitoring side effects
Strong organizational skills & attention to detail in documenting patient care
Knowledge of safety standards, infection control & quality improvement initiatives
