Number of Beds - 20
Number of Staff – 40
Type of staff:
Day Shift – 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses, 3 techs
Night Shift – 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses, 2 techs
Patient Ratios – 1:4, charge free of patients - Estimated ratios, not guaranteed
Type of equipment – Vents, Feeding Pumps, IV Pumps, Wound Vacs, Specialty beds, Suction, Chest Tubes
EMR - Meditech / CPN
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital PCU experience
BLS & ACLS
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
NIH
Prior Meditech experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Place chest tube
Bedside bronchitis
Ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, trachs and suction
Best personality Fit:
Team player
Highly acute patient population so someone who likes a challenge
