Location: Oneida NY

Contract Length: 12 Weeks (12*3)

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Schedule: Every Other Weekend & Holidays as Required by Unit

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical Surgical Unit for a 12-week assignment. The RN will be responsible for coordinating patient care, providing comprehensive nursing services, supervising LPNs and support staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Provide direct nursing care to Medical Surgical patients.
• Supervise and support LPNs and ancillary nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and infection control practices.
• Respond appropriately to emergency and crisis situations.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
• Promote a positive patient experience through excellent customer service and compassionate care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.

Requirements:
• Active and Unencumbered New York RN License.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical RN experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (Required).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Preferred).

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 45 pounds.
• Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and reaching.

• Manual dexterity and normal vision/hearing required.
• Ability to wear an N-95 respirator as needed.
